The Fast way to solo farm Urgoz!
Since the secret is out, no sense in holding back. I've been down there for a few weeks and have made an absolute killing. You can make a run in Hard Mode against the vampires in 20-30 seconds, which is much faster than the usual ranger method. Not recommended for players going for Legendary Survivor; you will die occasionally with this method.
The increase in speed on a quick farming run like this more than doubles your drop rate. No sense in wasting any time if you're out farming, right?
Plus, you get the added humor value of farming with a Mo/R - with a pet - and having it work.
The build:
14 (12+2) Divine Favor
12 Wilderness
Greater Conflagration [E]
Call of Haste
Dodge
Winter
Storm Chaser
Divine Intervention
Charm Animal
This is so easy that we don't need an 8th skill. 7 will do just fine.
Be sure to take a 20% enchanting item. Replace Greater Conflagration with Quickening Zephyr if you prefer or don't have that elite; QZ is nice because your DI will recharge faster, which will help you complete the run faster if things go wrong.
Skills get clicked in order.
How to:
Drop Greater Conflag at spawn.
Click Call of Haste and Dodge as the spirit finishes casting.
Run down until the front monster group spawns.
Immediately stop and begin dropping Winter.
As Winter drops use pet toolbar to lock your pet onto one of the Hopping Vampires (sword icon - click the vampire to target it).
Hit Storm Chaser, run back towards your Conflag. After about 1-2 seconds hit Divine Intervention.
Run up to the Hopping Vampire that doesn't suicide on your Conflag. Sword it, or what have you.
What will normally happen is that one of the Hopping Vampires up front bags your pet, and the other bags your Winter. One of the Hopping Vampires in the back suicides on your Conflag and the other suicides on you - but you don't die due to DI.
In the event that the back vampire fails to suicide on you before DI wears off, kite and reapply DI when it comes up. If you catch aggro from the front - such as your pet not getting taken out - lock your pet onto a new Hopping Vampire, kite and reapply DI when it recharges.
If you want an 8th skill, take Serpent's Quickness, put it up when you drop Winter, cast DI and then run back towards spawn using Storm Chaser. I find that this sometimes leads to aggro pursuing me towards the back, which is problematic, but it's up to you.
As noted, runs take 20-30 seconds, yielding 10-15 golds in a typical hour. Happy Farming!

This is 2-3x faster than the R/Rt build. This means 2-3x the drops. It makes a difference whether you cycle in 30 seconds or 90-120...
Not my farm spot originally, but these tweaks to what has already been quietly circulating were good for about 2 million gold in the last 2 weeks. I seriously doubt our friend with the R/Rt build can say that unless he botted it 24/7. Which I didn't have to. (2-3 hrs/day including all resale time)

Ok, I'll say I seriously doubt you made that much unless YOU botted 24/7.
This isn't a measuring contest, so zip your pants back up.

[dth] has been doing this since Hard Mode was introduced. As martin stated this is the fasted way. Most of dth are all millionaires from farming this area so it's great this is out becuase ANET will nerf it to hell now that the bots will start doing.
Have a Good day.

This is the same exact thing as the other one. No need to post a new thread when it just says the same thing.

this build is indeed fast.
thank you for posting this.
much much faster than the other builds. 2 spirits + 1 pet + divine intervention is all you need to handle the 4 vamps. any more you are wasting your time casting useless spirits.

... Sounds too risky for my liking, and too restrictive.
Why waste your time dying on a class-specific build when with a bit of extra security (a few extra spirits) you can do it with ANY CHARACTER you like and have almost no chance of dying?
Besides.... one run per minute is fine for me...
Quite literally. This morning I was keeping track. "Urgoz Warren" flashed up on the screen at 8:01, 8:02, 8:03, 8:04.. and so on.

Yeah, I wouldn't chance of dying and loosing a gold. I'm sure its faster, but it would suck very much to lose out on something that might be quite valuable. People that get lag spikes is also a concern...

If you are too far away, you won't get any drops. Basically, make sure you are getting exp when enemies die. If you aren't, then you won't get drops from the enemies either.

sounds like derv is better than monk for this approach, as the dervish enchants which are equivalent to DI last either 60 secs or are permanent until used AND you can use both at the same time. heh d/mo... could probably do without spirits though...

Here you go, I have 100% success with this, never have died, if on the rare occasion your DI is about to go off, just run to the back, regular running speed is enough to outrun them. Can DI back on and kill the last one .
